Abstract:
It is known that SMEs are of great importance in a country’s economy and have provided great contribution to them. In addition, it’s generally accepted that SMEs have various problems and among them financial problems are prominent. In this study, a research is intended to be made regarding the identifying of financing practices/problems as well as the working capital management of the SMEs in Kyrgyzstan. As a result of the research made by survey in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, it is seen that contrary to expectations, Kyrgyz SMEs do not experience a significant shortage of liquidity but find the credit conditions unfavourable.
