Dış Ticaretin Finansmanında Göçmen Gönderilerinin Rolü: Türkiye Örneği

Abstract: Since half century there have been significant immigration movements from developing countries to development countries. Recent years, there have seen that adding to blue-collar laborforce, brain drain. When looking at economic structure of developing countries, mostly be seen that applying economic growth strategy based on import. In this context, the foreign trade deficit has become a chronic condition. Migration to developed countries is also important for developing countries. Because, transfer of migrant’s remittances has important function for solving of chronic high foreign trade deficit being with dependency on imports. This study is focused on effects of immigrant workers’ consignments in solving foreign trade deficits and import financing in Turkey.
