Abstract:
Single parent families are the families which mother or father is lone as a parent and responsible for child care. The most common single parent families are the families arising from divorce, death and self choice. The problems of single parent families are complex and multi-faceted. These problems include economic difficulty, social life, parenting, child care, household activities and use of time. It can be recommended that employment policies should be made for single parents, works should be carried out for tax reduction in several areas, and single parent families should be educated on coping with possible difficulties by non-formal education and mass media with the aim of increasing quality of life of single parents and solving their problems.
