Abstract: This study investigates how academic studies in the field of business ethics in Turkey have a pattern. In this respect, master theses and doctoral dissertations prepared at universities in Turkey are assessed using bibliometric method. In the light of the data obtained, results found out are following : i) theses and dissertations’ distributions by years have decreased in recent years, especially last two years. ii) Marmara University and Dumlupınar University made significant contributions in ranking of universities supporting to prepare theses and dissertations. iii) None of the names gained master degree in the field of business ethics was found in the names prepared doctoral dissertation. iv) While a few theses were produced via method named ‘theoretic work’, the rest of the thesis was conducted by using “research methodology” with quantitative techniques. v) Service industry was generally preferred as a sample to gather data. vi) Studies mainly discussed what business ethics meant and accordingly focus on the topics of social responsibility and organizational citizenship included by business ethics; however there was less discussion of relationships between business ethics and other disciplines of management. Finally, Suggestions for future research are proposed by interpreting these findings.
