Fatality Fire of the Unemployment Hills: Fatality Tendency and Job Search Tools

Abstract: It was searched whether there was any interaction between job search and fatalistic tendency, especially at support and job search processes. In this study, Fatalism Tendency Scale and the special designed demographic analysis form were used. 236 women and 210 men participated in the study. According to the results, fatalism tendency increases with age, decreases with income level and education. However, those with high fatalism tendency are observed to use fewer job search tools. High fatalism tendency group is more likely to use social relations or apply to corporate external agents while low fatalism group prefers direct methods and newspaper advertisements more intensively.
