A chapter in Proceedings of the 2022 3rd International Conference on Big Data Economy and Information Management (BDEIM 2022), 2023, pp 156-163 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) are the two leading technologies in the world, which promote the development of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Although there is lots of research on AI and blockchain separately, few studies focus on the fusion or integration of these two. To address this gap, this study aims to characterize the necessity and benefits of the fusion of AI and blockchain. First, we introduce AI and blockchain technologies roughly. Then, we analyze the general fusion mechanism for AI and blockchain and its necessity. Next, we carry out the critical point analysis one by one for the fusion of AI and blockchain. The detailed analysis shows that AI and blockchain technologies can enhance each other and it is wise to integrate their benefits.
