A chapter in Proceedings of the 10th Annual Meeting of Risk Analysis Council of China Association for Disaster Prevention (RAC 2022), 2023, pp 3-10 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract On June 10, 2022, earthquakes of M5.8, M6.0 and M5.2 occurred successively in Markang City, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province, which is a swarm earthquake. This paper mainly analyzes the seismogenic structure, focal mechanism, aftershock distribution, seismic intensity, damage characteristics and strong ground motion characteristics of the earthquake. By analyzing the actual distribution of earthquake damage and the spatial distribution of strong ground motions, the comprehensive characteristics of building damage in this earthquake are analyzed. Finally, some preliminary suggestions on the local earthquake disaster risk prevention in the future are put forward.
