Abstract: Abstract With the rapid development of blockchain technology, new forms of illegal fundraising crimes are exhibiting distinct characteristics from traditional illicit fundraising practices. This paper takes the typical features of new illicit fundraising in the era of blockchain as a starting point and delves into the key differences between new illicit fundraising crimes and traditional ones. It uncovers their distinctive characteristics and provides recommendations for enhancing the legal framework of online financial regulation in China.
