Abstract:
Abstract In the framework of the current digital age, the rapid progressing in the field of Financial Technology has an important effect on the business model of commercial banks. Commercial banks’ digital transformation has been a major contributor to the financial system’s reform and wave of technical advancement. Grounded in the existing literature, this article summarizes and proposes that fintech facilitates the advancement of the digital transformation of commercial banks and then reduces the risk-taking of commercial banks. At the same time, the study finds that with the wide utilization of fintech and digital transformation, commercial banks are facing new challenges in risk-taking and risk management. Based on this, this paper further clarifies the risk points generated by commercial banks during the course of applying fintech for transformation through digital technology and studies and summarizes the control measures of these risk points, providing enlightenment and reference for commercial banking institutions to more accurately choose the business entry points of risk control and management and further improve the risk management measures and systems of commercial banks. This article provides guidance for the establishment and improvement of risk management mechanisms of commercial banking institutions in the next step.
