Abstract:
Abstract With the rapid development of social media platforms, an increasing number of small-scale influencers are engaging in digital labor through content creation, yet their labor rights and economic security issues have not received adequate attention. This paper, grounded in the perspective of political economy of communication, systematically analyzes the current state of digital labor among small-scale influencers on the Xiaohongshu platform. It reveals the challenges they face, including labor exploitation, emotional labor burdens, and the lack of labor rights protections, and offers corresponding solutions and recommendations. Through this study, we aim to provide valuable insights for improving the working environment and enhancing the professional well-being of small-scale influencers.
