Abstract: Abstract This paper uses the data of A-share listed manufacturing enterprises in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets from 2010 to 2020 to study the effect of digital transformation on the total factor productivity of enterprises. The results show that digital transformation improves the total factor productivity of enterprises. Moreover, digital transformation optimizes dynamic capabilities from the perspectives of supply chain proactive ability, supply chain reactive ability, and comprehensive supply chain design quality ability, and enhances the total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry through four aspects, namely alleviating financing constraints, reducing asset specificity, improving the level of specialized division of labor, and promoting innovation synergy. Digital transformation has a greater effect on the total factor productivity of state-owned enterprises, non-high-tech enterprises, labor-intensive enterprises. The research conclusions provide factual support and policy implications for promoting digital transformation to assist in the high-quality development of enterprises.
