Abstract:
Abstract This paper explores The Coca-Cola Company as a case study to evaluate how value chain analysis can drive cost reduction and value creation to secure a competitive advantage. To accomplish this, a combination of qualitative exploration and quantitative comparisons is conducted through an in-depth analysis of both the internal and external value chain. The study integrates value chain theory with the operational strategies and performance of The Coca-Cola Company to provide a comprehensive understanding of its success. The internal value chain analysis identifies key processes that enable cost reduction and value creation, focusing on how the company leverages innovation, resource optimization, and operational efficiency. This section highlights how Coca-Cola's robust product portfolio and streamlined production systems contribute to achieving sustainable competitive advantages. The external value chain analysis examines Coca-Cola's relationships with upstream suppliers and downstream distributors, emphasizing its collaborative strategies. The study also explores the role of innovation and sustainability in fostering trust and strengthening partnerships. By analyzing these factors, the essay illustrates how Coca-Cola's comprehensive value chain strategies maintain its leadership position in the global beverage industry while driving long-term growth.
