Abstract: Abstract This study aims to analyze the conditions and competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province and formulate relevant consolidation strategies in response to global economic dynamics. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with Global Value Chain (GVC) and SWOT analyses based on secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Cooperative and SME Office of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The results show that around 70–80 percent of MSMEs in Bangka Belitung still operate at the upstream stage of the value chain (raw material production), while less than 5 percent have been able to enter the downstream stage through processing and direct exports. However, there is considerable potential for increasing added value through cross-sector consolidation strategies, increasing digital capacity, and collaboration between business actors, local governments, and academics. These findings provide a basis for strengthening island-based MSME development policies that are oriented towards innovation, sustainability, and the integration of the local economy into the global market.
