Chapter Chapter 5 in Non-Standard Employment and Quality of Work, 2012, pp 79-103 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Temporary work has been an important component of employment growth in Italy since the early 1990s. This is not surprising as Italy has substantially removed the obstacles against the use of temporary workers (henceforth ‘temps’ for brevity), while maintaining the rather strict firing regulations applying to permanent ones.
