Abstract:
Abstract Technology has always played a major role in the transformation of work and society. Today, discussions about the consequences of ongoing automation also include the rise of the platform economy, which has contributed to a more diverse workforce in the USA. In the following, the so-called sharing economy platforms will be presented as an example of how technology continues to restructure the economy and the workforce in the USA today.
