Chapter Chapter 4 in Artificial Intelligence and Competition, 2023, pp 101-133 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Digital technologies are a critical determinant of economic growth, national security, and international competitiveness. Market power is the capacity of a corporation facing little competition to boost its profits. Regulators have to advance immediately effective rules prohibiting dominant corporations from exercising their market power. Antitrust laws are intended to prevent harmful accumulations of market power. The digital platform economy has revolutionized the manner consumers interact with each other, work, shop, and practically all aspects of everyday life reaping the full advantages of the digital era.
