Abstract: Abstract In this chapter we approach the provision of immaterial cultural heritage from a twofold perspective: institutional organisation through the approach of common-pool resources, which has allowed it to survive over time through formulas of collective self-government; and financing through voluntary contributions, based on personal motivations of altruism or social exchange. As a case study, we take the celebration of Holy Week, a festivity of a religious nature and at the same time an undeniable expression of tangible and intangible cultural heritage of great tourist impact. Specifically, we analyse how Valladolid Holy Week—one of the most renowned in Spain—is organised and we model willingness to contribute in the form of monetary donations and time spent, analysing the key drivers, from socio-economic and personal perspectives. We also address the risks and challenges facing the provision of cultural common goods in the medium and long term, and also look at policy implications for managers and communal institutions in charge.
