Chapter 5 in The Baltic Dry Index, 2026, pp 49-79 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Stock index prediction is a challenging topic due to the complexity of the financial markets in general and the Baltic Exchange in particular. It is a crucial task as it addresses fundamental aspects associated with many factors such as economic indicators, geopolitical events, market news, etc. Stock index prediction not only contributes to more accurate risk assessment and investment strategies, but also improves our understanding of market dynamics providing valuable information for traders, owners, shippers, policy makers, and financial institutions.
