Chapter Chapter 1 in Formalizing the Shadow Economy in Serbia, 2015, pp 1-3 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter introduces the purpose and overall goal of the research. It provides a conceptual definition of the shadow economy, data sources used for the analysis, and methods applied for estimating the shadow economy. For the purpose of this research a special Survey on Conditions for Doing Business in Serbia was designed and implemented on a sample of registered businesses and entrepreneurs. The final part of the chapter outlines the structure of the study.
