Chapter Chapter 3 in Impact Assessment for Developing Countries, 2022, pp 29-35 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract We explain IA procedure and the organizational structure of IA and regulation making. The key components of institutional design are (1) establishing IA ground rules, (2) providing guidelines, (3) establishing separate institutions responsible for reviewing and improving the IA process, and (4) involving economists or other scientific researchers. Thereafter, we provide a rough outline of IA procedures in the United Kingdom and the EU.
