Abstract: Abstract This chapter provides a short introduction into CSR and offers an overview of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. These are subsequently linked to the private sector and its responsibilities. This chapter ends with some thoughts on the general nature of CSR as voluntary versus obligatory.
