Abstract:
Abstract This study aims to investigate the impact of anxiety in mathematics toward the performance in mathematics among students at the foundation level of a private university in Malaysia. Eighty-eight students were selected as participants in this research. The survey instrument was administered online, and the participants were selected using the convenient sampling technique. The questionnaire consisted of several items, namely, the demographic and math anxiety components. The result indicates no significant relationship between anxiety in mathematics and performance in mathematics. Conversely, the finding shows a significant difference in mathematics anxiety concerning gender. The research also reflects indifference between the level of anxiety in mathematics and performance in mathematics.
