Chapter Chapter 6 in Corporate Digital Responsibility, 2025, pp 239-264 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter deals with the digital responsibility of companies, illustrated by the concept of corporate digital responsibility (CDR). It examines the different levels and stages at which companies can exercise their digital responsibility, from internal implementation to their impact on society. It provides support for measuring CDR through specific indicators and discusses how companies should report on their digital responsibility and what guidance frameworks are available to them. The chapter examines the current state of CDR reporting among large German corporations and introduces various tools and studies for benchmarking digital responsibility. It concludes with an examination of how digitalization is redefining corporate responsibility and what impact this could have on the future practice of CDR.
