Abstract:
Abstract Knowledge also known as familiarity, expertise, or skills gained through experience helps the person to formulate opinions, perceptions or to hypothesize. This study systematically collects and synthesizes previous research referring to various forms of knowledge. The review identifies gaps, inconsistencies in literature and contributes to the research domain of online consumer behavior by extending the research scope to job portals—an online job seeking avenue. The study aids to conceptualize job seekers’ product knowledge as construct and stimulates to investigate it further. It offers several perspectives on product knowledge in the digital job seeking space, contributing to relevant theories and highlighting the significance of product knowledge for effective job portal navigation, decision-making, and optimized job search.
