Abstract:
Abstract This review article looks at the state of ecocriticism in poetry, concentrating on themes, methodologies, research gaps, and future challenges. It offers novel insights in the field of literature by exploring the connection between diverse environmental themes and poetry. The research is based on a thorough literature review to examine ten major themes such as environmental imagination and representation, Nature, Environment and Wilderness, Man-Nature Interconnectedness and Interdependence, Cultural and Societal Perspectives. It provides a detailed breakdown of the methods and approaches utilized in the reviewed articles. It demonstrates the diversity of methodologies employed in the exploration of eco-critical approaches to poetry. The results highlight the significance of varying eco-critical viewpoints and techniques. This understanding influences interdisciplinary fields, such as management studies. It also offers insights into sustainable practices and ethical decision-making through reflections on ecological narratives and environmental imagination. Future approaches would highlight the need for inclusive research frameworks that include many voices and viewpoints. This inclusion would lead to a deeper understanding of the complex relationship between poetry and the environment.
