Abstract:
Abstract This is an interview with Jianrong Dai, a Special Olympics coach and a PE teacher in a special education school in Kunming. His story shows how he transcended from a graduate from a sports school knowing nothing about special education to a successful coach and beloved teacher of his students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The interview presents his love for the job and his students and how his students’ deep love for him. It highlights his dedication to training especially for students with severe disabilities to have opportunities to participate in Special Olympic programs and bring these programs more areas.
