A chapter in 200 Years of Friedrich Engels, 2022, pp 167-175 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Much has been written about Friedrich Engels, the famous author, socialist, economist and political activist, whose name is still usually mentioned in connection with Karl Marx. In this chapter, the conditions and circumstances in which Engels grew up and how they influenced his character and thinking will be studied. In addition, it is discussed to what extent these influences, together with his special abilities and talents, contributed to his later activities and insights and laid the foundation for his position in history and economics.
