Chapter Chapter 4 in Daily Life in Classical Athens, 2024, pp 53-56 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter refers to the preparations, on the part of the women of the oikos, to receive guests. It further presents clothing and footwear items, as well as women’s grooming items. A society proceeds with such amenities, only when it has already managed to cover its basic needs; therefore, it exhibits signs of economic development and prosperity.
