Epilogue: The Evolutionary Inflection Point—When Tools Stop Making Us Human
Prashant Singh Yadav
Chapter 14 in The AI Competency Paradox, 2026, pp 309-317 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In the preceding chapters, we have argued that AI’s impact represents something far more profound than simple job displacement—which is merely the first wave of a deeper transformation. We have documented the reality and gravity of a situation that threatens the very cognitive foundations that make us human. We have presented comprehensive frameworks that enable organizations and societies to detect early warning signs, respond effectively to cognitive erosion, and guide the preservation of cognitive sustainability in an AI-augmented world.
