Abstract: Virtual and augmented reality are deemed powerful learning tools because they allow, in principle, experiential learning without displacing the learner when real-experience environments are available. In order to attain satisfactory experiential learning, technology should have extremely challenging features and performances. These requirements become more and more compelling in the field of E-Learning, where the ideal of having rich individual teaching assistance for each learner is pursued (ADLNET 2004) through the exploitation of ICT.
