Un système de monitoring global de la consommation moyenne d'alcool est possible avec les données courantes. Pourtant, de nouvelles enquêtes sont nécessaires. Elles doivent inclure des profils de consommation pour améliorer la prédiction d'autres indicateurs de santé, comme par exemple l'infarctus du myocarde et les accidents.
