Abstract Considering what has occurred at the global level for the past 20 years, it must be apparent that the time has come for many economies to acknowledge the globalization paradigm and consider economic policies that are suited for the twenty first century global market. Today, virtually all countries are functionally integrated into the prevailing global system and within global framework.
