Abstract: Abstract Intense competition has become the norm in most markets in recent years, due to globalization and technology advancements among other reasons [1–3]. Therefore, it is an essential necessity for firms that want to stay relevant and competitive, to seek innovation and creativity in new product development (NPD) process, while trying to maintaining high quality, low prices and short time-to-market periods to survive in such changing marketplace [4–6].
