Abstract: Abstract This chapter studies the nature and sources of the synergy effect in the economic entity management system. It also examines the individual scientists’ view of modern science on understanding synergy in business, production, and economy. The subject of the study is the mechanisms of synergy forms and sources in business management. The object is to summarize the scientific research results on synergy and substantiate the forms, sources, and synergy criteria that characterize business management. The research aims to develop methodological tools to identify and substantiate the synergy effects in business management. Based on the combined results of previous research, the authors substantiate the methods and sources of the synergy effect extraction in business management and specify the criteria and indicators for assessing the synergy effect magnitude, depending on its forms and sources. The current study results will elaborate and clarify modern scientific ideas about the synergetics content, the sources of its occurrence, forms of manifestation, criteria, and indicators for assessing the synergy effect in business management.
