Abstract:
Abstract The purpose of the study is to form a system of indicators reflecting the level of fertility of agricultural soil, which will be aimed at addressing the problem of timely forecasting, identification, and prevention of internal and external threats to food security established by the Doctrine of Food Security, approved by Presidential Decree in early 2020. In accordance with this objective, the purposes of the study are to identify hazards, threats, and risks of land use and build a map of hazards, threats, and risks, as well as a list of indicators reflecting the qualitative characteristics of soil fertility and the level of economic security of agricultural enterprises. To solve these tasks of building a list of indicators, the study used methods of logical analysis and for the development of the indicator – economic and mathematical methods. In this chapter, for the first time, the system of indicators of food security in the section of the condition and effective use of agricultural land was proposed and justified. This system was proposed to include indicators that determine soil fertility, reduction of soil parameters by the value set by specialists, the cost of maintaining soil properties, and the cost of restoring soil properties.
