Chapter Chapter 9 in Unlocking Digital Transformation of Agricultural Enterprises, 2023, pp 79-86 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The paper analyzes and presents the development prospects of the digital transformation of agricultural production in the Chuvash Republic example, considering the current rating of determining the level of development of the digital economy and composite indexes. Urbanization of the population from rural to urban areas and population growth in Russia are two problems of the agro-industrial complex. Such problems should be addressed at all agricultural production levels by increasing the production rate and improving its quality. Achieving world living standards for the rural population in the Russian regions will create a competitive economy model relying on regional features of the agro-industrial complex development. The introduction of digital technologies and the use of online platforms will allow us to revive the traditional production of each region (e.g., hops, linen, and industrial hemp) and agriculture. The hop recovery in the Chuvash Republic is also a promising direction for the region’s agricultural business development.
