Chapter Chapter 6 in Strengthening Youth Entrepreneurship in Africa and Emerging Markets, 2026, pp 157-182 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Youth entrepreneurship in Africa is vulnerable because of fragility of the entrepreneurial education, more fully discussed in the third chapter, and the financial and non-financial support system, more fully discussed in the fourth chapter. The thesis resolves the youth entrepreneurship issue by developing a third mechanism, an internship for youth entrepreneurs with helix fractal academic firms. In these firms, youth entrepreneurs undergo dual entrepreneurship education in real-life business. Helix fractal academic firms are used as mediators. They need a conducive legal environment with enlightened shareholder value and voluntary and mandatory CSR. Further, this chapter deals with legal and management structures of helix collaborative agreement and helix academic spin-offs.
