Chapter Chapter 4 in Minds, Brains, and Doxa for Inclusive Entrepreneurship, 2024, pp 59-69 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract You need to be more visible. You need to be louder. You need to be more assertive. You need to be more confident. You should not be interrupted. You must not sell yourself short. You must not speak too softly. You must not let yourself be overshadowed. You must not be vulnerable. You must be friendly, but not too friendly.: The individualized empowerment rhetoric imposed on female entrepreneurs is a neoliberal distraction strategy that shifts the focus off structural gender inequalities by playing back the responsibility to aspiring women entrepreneurs to fix a system that was not designed for them.
