Abstract:
Abstract The SLAS (2015–16) is undertaken across all the districts of Punjab using sample design. The test for Language, EVS and Mathematics is conducted on the 5th-class students selected for the survey to evaluate students’ performance. The detailed information about infrastructure in schools, socio-economic background of 5th-class teachers, their qualification and experience is collected. The survey also gathered information of 5th-class students, their socio-economic background including their parents’ qualification, occupation etc. The detailed profile of schools, teachers and students is analysed.
