Abstract:
Abstract This chapter briefly highlights the current status of Indian public finance and India’s public finance and policy challenges in recent years. Then, it introduces six broad topics of the volume: fiscal policy and macroeconomy, public expenditure policy, tax policy, fiscal transfers policy, public debt policy and fiscal imbalance and environment and climate finance policies. It also provides a short note of the issues and challenges covered under six broad topics of this volume, which is dedicated to Dr. Raja J. Chelliah.
