Abstract:
This chapter considers a record- groupinggrouping problem, which is called the transitive closuretransitive closure problem. The problem arises from the area of efficient information processing aiming at improving data qualitydata quality and information quality. To provide a context in which the problem could be better understood, we consider the importance of data quality and information quality and discuss samples of relatedrelated work in this introduction.
