Abstract: Abstract This chapter shows how an integrated approach to optimization plays itself out in some concrete cases. It presents several small examples that cover a wide range of application areas. It each case, it formulates a model that is appropriate for integrate1d solution, and in most cases it carries the solution procedure to completion.
