Abstract:
Abstract This chapter covers simulation input, which includes the following:Input modeling: Selecting (and perhaps fitting) the probability models that represent the uncertainty in the simulated system. Random-variate generation: Representing the inputs as transformations of i.i.d.U(0,1) random variables.Random-number generation:Producing a good approximation to realizations of i.i.d.U(0,1) random variates.
