Chapter Chapter 8 in Handbook of Stochastic Models and Analysis of Manufacturing System Operations, 2013, pp 249-285 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Whether in a factory setting or supply chain service operation, the non-instantaneous movement of products and customers is an important part of the performance measures of these systems e.g. throughput, cycle time, and work-in-process (WIP). One approach to capturing these measures in material handling or transportation movement is shown in this chapter with state dependent queueing networks.
