Chapter Chapter 7 in Facility Location Under Uncertainty, 2024, pp 181-201 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter focuses on facility location problems with chance constraints. The analysis starts with chance-constrained capacitated fixed-charge facility location problems. Afterward, the probabilistic set covering and maximal covering location problems are presented. This establishes a link with congestion in facility location problems. Uncertainty captured by a finite set of scenarios is also discussed. Throughout the chapter, emphasis is put on modeling aspects due to their relevance for deriving tractable deterministic equivalent models. When relevant algorithmic contributions exist, they are also detailed.
