Chapter 21 in Multi-Criteria Decision Making with Partial Preference Information, 2026, pp 451-466 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter presents applications of the FITradeoff method for Group Decision (FITradeoff-GD). Two cases are presented in order to illustrate different approaches to conduct the group decision process with the FITradeoff method. The first case consists of a healthcare facility location problem in Milan, Italy. The problem involves four DMs, sixteen criteria, and six alternatives. The second one consists of a prioritization problem of potential investors in Pernambuco, Brazil. Three decision makers are considered for the preferences elicitation, and a set of six criteria was defined to evaluate twenty-five alternatives. While the first case study explored how the group decision can be solved considering a participatory process based on individual results analysis, the second one explores aggregation tools that can be applied to achieve a final group ranking. These different possibilities for treating the group decision problem with FITradeoff enhance the flexibility of the method, as well as its adaptability for dealing with different situations and contexts.
