Chapter Chapter 5 in Level Crossing Methods in Stochastic Models, 2017, pp 285-335 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter applies a system-point level-crossing approach (SPLC, abbreviated LC) to derive the steady-state pdf of the virtual wait and the actual wait (arrival-point wait) in single-server G/M/1, and multiple-server G/M/c queues. Sections 5.1 and 5.2 treat G/M/1 and Sect. 5.3 treats G/M/c $$(c\ge 2)$$ . We assume arrivals occur according to a renewal process and service times are exponentially distributed.
