Abstract: Abstract This is a review of Ned Randolph’s book Muddy Thinking in the Mississippi River Delta. It is really a case study of how resource extractive thinking has shaped the river delta’s communities and governance. It is a critique of how extractive capitalism and resultant pollution have both impacted environmental quality as well as created environmental injustice.
