Abstract:
Abstract The use of neurophysiological tools in information systems research has increased dramatically in the last decade as scholars employ these tools to better understand how humans think, feel, and behave while interacting with technology and develop innovative neuro-adaptive systems. These tools are expanding the realm of digital data capture and storage, fueling the ongoing debate on data security and privacy issues. This paper highlights the privacy and security risks posed by the use of neurophysiological tools in the domain of NeuroIS as fuel for further examination in the field.
