A chapter in Information Systems and Technological Advances for Sustainable Development, 2024, pp 232-241 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract IT strategic alignment, previously perceived as the result of medium-term IT project planning, is now required to be seen as a process of continuous adjustment to ensure coherence between IT and business strategies. Dynamic alignment is thus becoming a requirement of the digital age. In order to answer the question of how to make the coherence between business objectives and IT strategy dynamic, this article examines the role of big data analytics in boosting IT strategic alignment. Based on a review of the literature dealing with BDA (Big Data Analytics), this article proposes a model for dynamic alignment based on a set of research hypotheses explaining the mediating role of BDA and organizational learning in such dynamic alignment, as well as the moderating role of sharing a data-driven culture within the organization and the BDA capabilities of the talent.
